Miles Chiotti serves as Manager of Public & Industry Relations for John Deere’s Agriculture & Turf Division in the U.S. and Canada. Based out of Deere & Company’s World Headquarters in Moline, IL, he has responsibility for sales and marketing external public relations and managing industry association partnerships. Miles leads a team to develop and execute earned and owned media, proactive storytelling, and customer-focused industry engagement to support positive customer outcomes.
Previously, Miles spent more than a decade working in public policy in Washington, DC. With John Deere, Miles served as Manager of Government Affairs where he engaged in agriculture policy advocacy before the US Congress, the Executive Office of the President, and various Federal agencies. Prior to joining Deere, Miles served in several roles on Capitol Hill including as legislative director to former US Congressman Rodney Davis (IL).
Miles earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, and a Master of Public Administration from The American University School of Public Affairs in Washington, DC. He and his wife Katie currently reside in Davenport
John Janes, married to Betsy for 35 years, has three children, one grandchild, and three dogs. His family supported him during his 36 years in reserve military service, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was awarded the combat action badge.
Since 2006, John has worked for Caterpillar's Building Construction Products Division, focusing on geospatial analysis and the relationship with Farm Bureau. Previously, he was in sales and marketing, coordinating with customers, Cat Dealers, and industry partners.
John holds degrees in engineering and business from North Carolina State University and Duke University and is the assignee on multiple patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
