Program Manager for Agriculture Earth Action of the Earth Science Division of NASA
Brad is the Program Manager for Agriculture Earth Action at NASA. With 40 years of experience in applying remote sensing data to Earth applications, he now directs the strategies and investments to support the use of Earth observation to support the agriculture community. This includes NASA Acres and NASA Harvest consortia, as well as leveraging NASA capabilities in weather and water information for agriculture needs.
Previously, Brad was a division director in the Office of Global Analysis, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), USDA. Dr. Doorn also served on active duty for nearly 10 years in the U.S. Army. He has also held roles on multiple White House working groups, interagency committees, and professional associations.
Brad received his doctorate and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University in Geodetic Science and Surveying and his bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
